The Foundation

The Kilimanjaro foundation is a Tanzanian non-governmental organization (NGO) established to address critical social, economic and environmental challenges, with a focus on decreasing school students drop out rates, enhancing performance appraisal, empowering women, supporting populations to acquire clean cooking energy solutions, Environmental conservation and management as well as promoting sustainable development. Registered under the Non-governmental Organizations Act, No.24 of 2002, the foundation operates Nationally, with its headquarters located in Uru shimbwe Ward, Moshi Rural District, Kilimanjaro Region.

Founded by Tanzanian citizens committed to community development, KF was formed to tackle pressing issues such as gender inequality, educational disparities, environmental degradation, 

The organization’s Constitution, adopted at its inception, outlines it’s core mission:to create empowered sustainable communities where women thrive, the environment is preserved, and vulnerable children receive care and opportunities.
